Requirements Collection

  • Every project starts by gathering requirements from stakeholders – both essential requirements and those they would like to have. The first user survey was carried out in 2014, and several more were carried out as an iterative process during the development of plans, until the final set of requirements were agreed and incorporated into the design of the building and grounds.
  • The Build Team developed requirements for each room from the user requirements. Each iteration of the requirements document added layers of detail, so that the final document allowed the Quantity Surveyor to make a good estimate for the Order of Cost Report delivered in 2021.
  • The Architect developed plans from the requirements which were reviewed by the team, and changes incorporated into the plans. This became an iterative process as each set of plans were reviewed and users consulted.
