Technical Team
Richard Bullen (Plum Architects) was appointed as our Architect in May 2017, following an open competition, and SWOT analysis, with the option of maintaining his services as Principal Designer after receiving Planning Consent.
The remainder of the Technical Team were appointed during Lockdown. Requirements for each consultant were sent out to more than one company, and the Project Team completed SWOT analyses on each of the responses, before making the formal appointment. Richard Bullen has co–ordinated the work of the consultants to complete the technical design, and to enable the Order of Cost Report to be produced.
The full team comprises:
- Principal Designer – Richard Bullen formally requested to assume his role of Principal Designer. March 2020
- Quantity Surveyor – Holloway and Squire, Fareham are appointed as Quantity Surveyor. June 2020
- Structural Engineer – WRD appointed as Structural Engineers. June 2020
- Mechanical and Electrical – DSR Mechanical and PJM Electrical appointed to produce the detailed mechanical and electrical designs to the Quantity Surveyor, and will be bidding for the contract for installation. July 2020
- Fire Safety – TecFire Appointed as Consultant in July 2020 to review the plans, make recommendations, and to produce a final Fire Safety Report when build complete.
- Building Control – Butler and Young (now Socotec) appointed as Building Control Specialists Dec 2020
- Soils Analysis – Soils Ltd appointed in Dec 2020 to carry out Soils Analysis and other research prior to foundation design and building certification.
- Project Manager – Building – Alan Holloway of Holloway and Squire as Project Manager for the remainder of pre–construction phase.
